Definisi Risiko adalah sebagai berikut:
- Risk is an effect of uncertainty on objectives (ISO 31000, Risk Management
Principle and Guidelines). - Risk is a variable that can cause deviation from an expected outcome, and as
such may effect the achievement of business objectives and the performance of
the overall organisation (Lam, 2017: 4). - Risk is the effect of uncertainty on objectives (Green, 2016: 2).
- Risk is the potential of gaining at losing something of value. Risk can also be
defined as the intentional interaction with uncertainty (Thomas A. Cook, 2017:
11). - Risiko adalah kemungkinan terjadinya suatu peristiwa yang berdampak negatif
terhadap pencapaian sasaran organisasi (PMK-171/PMK.01/2016 tentang
Manajemen Risiko di Lingkungan Kementerian Keuangan).
Definisi Manajemen Risiko adalah sebagai berikut: - Risk Management is the coordinated activities to direct and control an
organization with regard to risk objectives (ISO 31000, Risk Management
Principle and Guidelines). - Risk Management is the coordinated set of principles, processes, activities,
roles and responsibilities, and infrastructure, combined into a system and used
to control the actions of an organization in light of the risks it faces (Green,
2016: 3). - Manajemen Risiko adalah budaya, proses, dan struktur yang diarahkan untuk
memberikan keyakinan yang memadai dalam pencapaian sasaran organisasi
dengan mengelola risiko pada tingkat yang dapat diterima (PMK-
171/PMK.01/2016 tentang Manajemen Risiko di Lingkungan Kementerian
Keuangan).
